ELI GOLD

Eli Gold is a Consultant at 5 Lakes Energy focusing on modeling and land use policy for utility-scale renewables in the Midwest.

Eli compliments his qualitative policy analysis skills with a strong technical skillset with expertise in Excel, Stata, and ArcGIS.

Apart from his work on land use policy, Eli performs data analysis and modeling for other projects at 5 Lakes Energy and is currently responsible for running and continuing the development of 5 Lakes Energy’s STEP8760 Model – an internally developed grid optimization model.

Outside of his work at 5 Lakes Energy, Eli supports the equitable electrification and weatherization of homes in the Detroit area through his role on the founding board of the Polar Bear Sustainable Energy Co-op.

Eli has a Master of Public Policy degree from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Kansas. He has been a resident of Detroit since 2015.
