Jamie Scripps

Jamie Scripps is a partner with 5 Lakes Energy where she specializes in renewable energy and energy efficiency policy, and research and analysis related to sustainability and the water/energy nexus. Jamie also helps to lead the firm’s federal policy practice.

Prior to joining 5 Lakes Energy Jamie served as assistant deputy director for the Michigan Department of Energy, Labor & Economic Growth.

Jamie brings extensive experience with stakeholder engagement. Recently, Jamie has led 5 Lakes’ efforts on outreach and engagement related to policies promoting industrial energy efficiency (IEE) technologies, including organizing and presenting the 2015 Michigan CHP Conference with Oakland University.

A graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Jamie practiced with Sondee, Racine & Doren PLC in Traverse City, Michigan and Venable LLP in Washington, D.C. where she specialized in environmental law.  Jamie also served as deputy policy director for the Michigan Environmental Council (MEC).

In addition to her J.D. from Michigan Law, Jamie earned a master’s degree in leadership studies from North Central College and a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Michigan.

Jamie resides in Northport, Michigan with her husband, Dan and their sons, Jack and Nicol.
