Mark Griffin is a strategic communications professional, writer, and content leader with more than 15 years of experience translating complex topics into engaging stories for diverse audiences. His career spans science communication, clean energy, healthcare, public policy, nonprofit outreach, and media production. His work has particularly focused on helping organizations connect research and innovation with public impact. 

Prior to working at 5 Lakes, Mark spent more than seven years at the Wisconsin Energy Institute and the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center, where he led communications initiatives that increased digital engagement, expanded audience reach, and elevated the visibility of energy research. He also created and produced the Propelling Women in Power podcast, highlighting the achievements of women leaders in STEM fields.

Throughout his career, Mark has combined storytelling, strategy, and audience engagement to help organizations communicate with clarity and purpose. Mark is a member of the National Science Writers Association.
