Now in its second year, Michigan EIBC’s Energy Innovators Gala honors Michigan energy companies and individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to Michigan’s advanced energy sector. Awards will be presented to the Business of the Year, Emerging Business of the Year, Employer of the Year and Public Official of the Year. In addition, the gala will also feature the induction of the second class into the Michigan Energy Innovators Hall of Fame.
Our keynote speaker for the Michigan Energy Innovators Gala is Chris Brown, President of Vestas Americas. Brown oversees Vestas’ sales and service operations in the United States and Canada and is a member of the company’s executive committee as Group Senior Vice President for Vestas Wind Systems, the world’s largest provider of wind turbines. Prior to Vestas, Brown served as Chief Operating Officer for the City of Detroit and was an Executive Vice President with DTE Energy Resources, a division of DTE Energy, and helped launch Deepwater Wind, LLC, an offshore wind development company.
