Eli Gold joined the 5 Lakes Energy team in July 2021.
Eli works primarily on renewable energy land use and siting policy in the Midwest. His work on land use emphasizes understanding community acceptance on utility-scale renewable energy development and what state-level tax and siting policies, as well as developer practices, best support equitable decarbonization of the electric sector.
Eli also works on evaluating utility performance metrics and has a deep knowledge of the Energy Information Administration’s filing and database systems.
Eli has a Master of Public Policy degree from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Kansas. He has been a resident of Detroit since 2015.
