Sabrina Benayoun, MS, is a consultant with 5 Lakes Energy specializing in industrial decarbonization.
Sabrina holds a bachelor’s in environmental engineering and a master’s in sustainability management. Her prior experience has focused on the intersection of businesses and sustainability, particularly in assessing emissions impacts, designing circular economy strategies, and supporting organizations in their transition to lower-carbon operations. With her early-career client portfolio, which includes the cosmetics and hospitality industries, she is skilled in integrating sustainability practices across a company’s business operations.
As a consultant in industrial decarbonization, Sabrina works across the team’s clean industries portfolio, which includes hydrogen, heavy industry, industrial heat, and electrification technologies. Her work routinely engages stakeholders across the Great Lakes Region, including state agencies, corporations, nonprofits, and communities. Sabrina believes sustainable solutions must be practical and scalable, balancing technical feasibility with economic and social considerations. She is committed to driving meaningful environmental impact through data-driven and systems-based approaches.
Sabrina grew up in New York and enjoys traveling, cooking, and outdoor adventures. She has a personal goal of visiting all seven world wonders and all U.S. national parks. So far she’s visited two world wonders and three national parks!
